Dorothy "Dot" Sizemore

Dorothy “Dot” Rogers Sizemore, born on July 27, 1934 and passed away peacefully on April 24, 2024. Dot was born to Siamon and Lizzie Rogers, embarked on her journey through life with a heart brimming with love and kindness. On August 27, 1957, she joined hands in marriage with Douglas R. Sizemore, beginning a shared adventure that spanned decades.

Dot's life was a testament to love and generosity, evident in her devotion to family and her boundless hospitality. She was preceded in death by 17 beloved siblings and a cherished great-grandson, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience.

Her memory lives on in the hearts of her devoted husband, Douglas R. Sizemore, and her adoring sons: Douglas R. Sizemore Jr., Reginald P. (Charlene) Sizemore, and Joel C. (Angie) Sizemore. Dot's love extended to her three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish her warmth and affection.

Dot's kitchen was the heart of her home, where she lovingly crafted meals that nourished both body and soul. Her love language was food, and all who entered her home departed with full bellies and hearts overflowing with gratitude.

Dot's presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. In her memory, may we strive to emulate her unwavering compassion and generosity towards others.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 29th in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 11-2 PM Monday, April 29th at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
