Mary E. Chasteen

Mary Ella Chasteen, 92, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2024. She was born on May 16, 1931 in Chattanooga to the late Dewey Goggin and Thelma Goggin. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Chasteen, sons David Chasteen and Eric Chasteen, as well as two siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Chasteen of Huntsville, grandchildren Diana Kinser, Daniel Fishel, Stephen Fishel, Jason Chasteen, and her siblings Charlotte Dodd, and Zane Goggin. Mary attended Burning Bush Baptist Church in Ringgold. She also enjoyed spending time at the Catoosa County Senior Center and had many friends there.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Chattanooga Rescue Mission.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside serve, March 27, 2024, Wednesday at 2:30 PM at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
