Reece Skyles

William Reece Skyles, 82, of Ringgold passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was born on September 9, 1941 in Dunlap, Tennessee to the late John and Betty Skyles. He served his country in the U.S. Army and enjoyed playing music and was a member of Family Crusaders Gospel Group. He was a member of the Seed of Faith Ministries Church in East Ridge. He graduated from Sequatchie High School and Edmondson School of Business. Mr. Skyles worked at Combustion for 14 years and retired from Tuftco in Dalton, GA.

He was preceded in death by his three siblings.

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Gladys Skyles; children, Donna England, Paul Skyles, William E. Skyles and Raychel Ellison; brother, Dewey Skyles; sister, Carlotta Dishman; grandchildren, Burgandi Ensley, Blake Skyles, Taylor Poe and Avery Skyles; one great-grandchild; along with many other loving relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, March 23 in the funeral home chapel with Philip and Bonnie Morgan. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Paul Skyles presenting poem and song.

The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Friday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
